Hey all, back home from surgery. I won't be on the computer much as it is hard to maintain strength to sit up, type, etc. My dearest Jess posted a good status report here. The only thing I'll mention in addition for now is that there was a small scare wherein my blood calcium levels dropped dramatically (hypocalcemia). This caused much of my upper body to freeze up, so to speak. This is being regulated with calcium and vitamin D.. in addition to the percocet (pain), synthroid (hormone), colace (lax), prednisone (steroid), and atenolol (heart) I will be taking.

I've been in very good spirits and still welcome visitors and phone calls. My voice is.. well, let's just say I won't be trying out for the choir any time soon! :) Thanks to all for your support (e-mails, IMs, LJ comments, calls to my cell and HUP, visits during the 2 days prior to surgery, etc.)!
